The work order is split into operations, and the screen shows which batch is waiting at which machine. The operator starts and finishes the job on a tablet and real times are recorded. Batches sent to subcontractors are followed on the same screen.

How are colour and size variants managed?

The model is defined once; colour and size options are generated automatically as a variant matrix. One model in 10 colours × 10 sizes is tracked as 100 separate stock items from a single screen. Leather, sole and accessory consumption can be defined separately for each variant in the bill of materials.

Can we track subcontracted work such as uppers and soles?

Yes. Subcontracted operations such as uppers, soles and dyeing are defined as steps of the work order; the batch sent out and returned is recorded with date and quantity. The subcontracting fee flows straight into that batch's cost.

Can we enter size-run orders?

Yes. The customer order is entered with its size breakdown and the production plan is built from that breakdown. A barcoded packing list at dispatch prevents short shipments.
